John Goto!

John Goto is a British artist best known for his photo-digital artworks and fantasy landscapes. he got more attention with his "High Summer" section of his ''Ukadia'' series of pictures.
John Goto has worked with historical, social and political subjects throughout his career.

I like this artist because of the different backgrounds which he uses, i like how he interprets different parts of the world into his backgrounds and thinks of different life situations and adds that into his work, for example on his high Summer  he added a seaside picture into his image.

I like the picture above because of the different ethics about it, how the girl has the scarf around her neck, I love the tradition of Venices' boats which is used going into the distance which also uses a good use of composition.

Evaluation.

Today we were given a task to make a Fantasy Landscape.  I have used many tools to accomplish this, my main idea was to have Kayley multiplied walking down gradually getting smaller.

This idea then changed into just one picture of Kayley layered into my background picture, I would then attach a picture as if she was walking a dog but i would change this into a wild animal just to make it more extravagant.

When i spoke to rebecca about it she suggested to me what I didn't know which was I could easily mutiply Kayley more than once, i decided to go on that idea and made her gradually decrease in size, to give an effect distant look.

With seeing the final picture all in black and white i chose to add additional colour in the photo so I had an idea taken from the wizard of Oz as a yellow brick lane, whioch then turned into the path going yellow. I could have improved this for next time because when i recieved feedback from a classmate they refered the path to be green so the message of the picture didn't come across as easily as I hoped.

I then decided to advance this further by making the shoes red whioch also represented the photo, when i had completed edited this i thought that it took away the speciality of the image about the wizard of Oz because the shoes did not look as how I wanted them too which was shiny and glittery.
I then printed out my final image which included the shoes and one without the shoes and chose just the yellow brick lane for my final image because less is simply more.
